Freedom, Fires and Fireworks

I guess I need to be better about blogging. I'm not the best blogger in the world. I read various blogs of people I know, and they express themselves so much better than I do. I have started so many blogs over the years, and I really need to consolidate I guess. Today is the 4th of July. The birthday of America! The birth of this great Nation! It is also my Grandmothers birthday. She would be 109 today. Happy Birthday Grandmommie! You are loved and missed. The Great State of Utah is on Fire! Not because of Stadium of Fire, I mean FIRE! Fires everywhere! Blazing, Raging Fires! It is not good! This has been going on for almost a month! It is only the first week of July. There wasn't any rain the entire month of June. Most of the fires were because of HUMANS! C'mon people! WAKE UP! Quit being so STUPID, and CARELESS! People have lost everything! I can't believe how stupid and selfish people can be when others have lost so much. That being said, Everyone be safe, and SMART! I am thankful for my Country and my Freedom. Enjoy the day. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Going Nowhere Fast

July 18, 2012

Well, Summer is halfway over. If you consider that the neighborhood children will be back in school at the end of next month. (YAY!) Well, I must admit, it hasn't been that rowdy around here, unless you count the days where I have been laid up with a Migraine. (too many in my book.)

We haven't gone anywhere this summer. Okay by me. I'm just a homebody this year. Jared, the "birthday buddy" nephew, will be here at the end of the week, for two days, until he heads home to prepare to depart on his mission to Nicaragua, for TWO WHOLE YEARS! (I can't be that old already...) Which means, his older brother Joseph, will be coming home from his mission. Has it been two years already? I guess time really does fly.

It has been a long, hot, dry season. How's that for using great adjectives all my wonderful English Teachers/Professors of the past? hmm?

Well, since I haven't done much of late, and I am no longer going to school. (another long sad tale.) Here is a list of things I am going to start to do, or progress on anyway.

1. FINALLY truly learn to play my Ukulele
2. Volunteer somewhere. (thinking about Clear Horizons Acadamy
3. Picking up Photography....again

Okay, that's a good start. I think. I can't overwhelm this already overloaded injured brain too much. That would send it into panic mode, and then I would be in trouble again. THAT is part of the long sad tale, saved for another blog.
